Looking for a new set of tires that will endure thousands of kilometers without breaking the bank? Michelin may have just what you need. Recenty, Michelin PH recently unveiled the Energy XM2.
This new variant is aimed at new, young, and budget-conscious drivers looking for safer and longer lasting tires for their vehicles. According to the company, the Energy XM2+ is the ideal tire for sub-compact to mid- sized passenger vehicles.
It was developed to improve on the previous generation, beating other brands in a wet braking test with a claimed 3-4 meter difference in stopping distance. In addition, they claim that the tire's 'Stopping Superpower' will be preserved even when it has been used for a long time.
"The Michelin EnergyXM2+ improves, in various aspects, on its predecessor. It has been a leading mass-market tire for 8 consecutive years. Its performance is made to last. As its advertising campaign goes, Michelin Energy XM2+ is a 'Stopping Superpower', keeping consumers safe and confident on the road, time after time," said Michael Nunag, Michelin Chief Representative to the Philippines.
Nunag further explained that the Energy XM2+, with a updated full-silica rubber compound, gives shorter wet braking distances by around 1.5 meters when new. When worn, its wet braking distance is at 2.6 meters, which is still better compared to other tire brands according to Michelin. The tire also gives longer mileage that outlasts other premium tire manufacturers by a claimed 25%.
The new Michelin Energy XM2+ tires are now available at authorized dealerships across the country in 36 sizes, from 14- to 16-inches in diameter.
