Mitsubishi Motors USA has recently announced that there is a new Limited Edition trim level for the outgoing 2017 Lancer. The new Limited Edition trim will be positioned directly above the base ES model, and offers customers a more unique package overall, as compared to standard.
"The Lancer has a long-standing tradition of providing consumers unparalleled value at an attractive price, so it was only fitting we pay tribute to the sedan with a Limited Edition trim offering," said Don Swearingen, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Mitsubishi Motors North America.
New on the Limited Edition are certain parts that have been finished in black which includes the 16-inch wheels, roof, upper front grille garnish, fender garnish and the door mirrors. To further differentiate it from a base model Lancer, it also recieves a new Limited Edition badge and a sunroof.
Meanwhile, the interior of the Limited Edition receives a custom design and has a black and red color motif that matches the blackened out exterior. The black fabric and red stitching is found on the steering wheel, shift knob, hand brake and the rest of the side panels, all of which are exclusive only to the LE trim. Other new features include aluminum pedals, blackened out pillars and headliner, and a new 6.5 inch infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
