Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has donated one million Pesos to the Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC) for the quick relief of victims of super typhoon 'Yolanda' which has devastated several provinces in the Visayas region. The super typhoon was said to be the most destructive of its kind in world history.

"With thousands of lives lost and immense damages to properties that the rage of this natural catastrophe has left the country, MMPC also joins the whole nation in prayer for the quick recovery of the Philippines most specially the areas that are vastly affected by the typhoon," said the company in a statement.

The check donation was turned over by MMPC President and CEO Mr. Hikosaburo Shibata and Vice President for Marketing Services Mr. Froilan Dytianquin to Hon. Richard Gordon, Chairman and CEO of PNRC and Ms. Janette Alcaraz, Director, Fund Generation - PNRC.

The company cancelled its annual golf tournament scheduled on November 13 for its business partners and friends to donate funds allocated for the event to the victims of the typhoon instead.
