Mitsubishi Motors Thailand (MMTh) boosted their exports even further with an increase of 1 million cars in three years. MMTh has now reached the 3 million unit mark for exports this year.

MMTh first exported vehicles in 1988 with the Lancer while the L200 followed suit a year later. In 2007, MMTh reached one million vehicles for export and reached the two million mark in 2013. Located in Laemchabang, the plant currently produces the Mirage, Mirage G4, Lancer, Strada and Montero Sport. It features three production factories in the compound and is equipped with the latest manufacturing technology, along with one engine factory. Mitsubishi Motors Thailand is the largest production center of Mitsubishi Motors Corporation outside Japan.

The plant has an annual capacity of 420,000 units and exports Mitsubishi vehicles to over 150 countries. It serves as the major production hub in the ASEAN region and parts of Asia. ASEAN and ASIA take up 29 of MMTh's exports, followed by Latin America at 27 percent and Europe at 22 percent. Oceania (Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and surrounding islands) take up 12 percent while African and Middle-Eastern exports contribute to 5 percent. In terms of production contribution, 43 percent were comprised of the Strada out of the total 3 million export units.
