The Department of Health (DOH) will soon have a fleet of brand new vehicles after Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) delivered several units of the L300 and Xpander.

Through the Procurement Service – an attached agency of the Department of Budget and Management (DBM), the DOH was able to order the vehicles online and have it delivered to the agency's doorstep after validation and payment of request. With it, this system aims to streamline the process of acquiring vehicles while maintaining the principles of economy, efficiency and check and balances.

A total of 232 units of the L300 FB Body, as well as 33 examples of the Xpander GLX was producred by PS-DBM and it will be delivered by MMPC via CitiMotors Makati and Diamond Motors Fairview respectively to the various government agencies. The first to receive the brand new Mitsubishi units was the DOH. MMPC turned over 4 units of the L300 FB, as well as 2 units of the Xpander to DOH Secretary Francisco Duque at the agency's HQ.

Duque stated that the new Mitsubishi vehicles will be a welcome addition to their fleet, given how dependable and efficient the L300 is throughout the years.

MMPC is set to deliver more units of their vehicles to various government agencies through the PS-DBM system in the coming months. Mitsubishi will continue to support the government's aim to reform the procurement system in order to ensure transparency, efficiency, and proper use of tax payer's money.
