Mitsubishi PH's contender for the lucrative Pickup Platform Vehicle (PPV) segment will soon be making its Philippine debut.
It will be revealed to the public during the 2016 Mitsubishi Auto Expo at the World Trade Center in Pasay. The event itself will take place from Januray 21 – January 24.
Sporting a more aggressive exterior finish, the new-generation Montero Sport first made its world debut at the 2015 Big Motor Sale in Bangkok. It measures 4,785mm long, 1,815mm wide, 1,805mm and 2,800mm wheelbase.
Locally, the Montero Sport will be available in four variants, GLS 4x2, GLS Premium 4x2, GLS 4WD M/T and GT. All models are fitted with the new 4N15 2.4-liter turbo-diesel inline-four that benefits from clean diesel technology, variable geometry turbo and MIVEC. It puts out 181 PS along with 430 Nm.
Depending on the model chosen, it can be have either a 6-speed manual or 8-speed automatic gearbox.
