Mitsubishi Thailand marks 60th birthday with Passion Red Strada

Mitsubishi is celebrating its 60th birthday in Thailand with special edition Strada

Mitsubishi Thailand continues to celebrate its 60th birthday in Thailand in a big way. Aside from offering special promos and giveaways worth over THB 60 million, the automaker has also been releasing special edition models.

After launching the Passion Red Xpander last month, Mitsubishi Thailand decided to reveal yet another Passion Red edition model – this time for the Strada. Called the Triton over in Thailand, the pick-up is painted in a unique finish called Solid Red. But it gets more than a new coat of paint.

Like the Xpander, Mitsubishi added 60th Anniversary decals on the edge of the front doors. It also gets 18-inch alloy wheels with a unique red stripe for a more stylish appearance.

Inside, the pick-up also gets some unique appointments. It comes with faux carbon fiber door sills and embossed headrests complete with the 60th-anniversary logo. The automaker also put a wireless phone charger for added convenience.

Like the standard Strada/Triton, the Passion Red Edition is powered by a 2.4-liter MIVEC turbo-diesel engine. It makes 181 PS with 430 Nm of torque and is paired to either a six-speed automatic or manual transmission.

With the Strada Passion Red Edition exclusively available to Thailand only, it's highly unlikely to be offered elsewhere. Hopefully, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) also releases its own anniversary edition for the Strada and then Xpander when the time comes.
