In an effort to continuously develop the skills of dealer sales and after sales personnel, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) recently staged its 12th Skills Olympics at Diamond Motors Marcos Highway facilities. There were representatives from MMPC's Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao dealership network and all participants have single intention of showcasing their skills in vehicle sales and after sales service. More than 500 guests witnessed and enjoyed the Skills Olympics as most participants brought in their families, co-workers and friends to provide support to their quest of becoming champions in their respective categories. The Skills Olympics are being held annually to also demonstrate how Mitsubishi Motors Philippines is working on its commitment of placing customer first and aiming towards total customer satisfaction.
The Mitsubishi Skills Olympics (MSO) was conceptualized with the goals of elevating the Mitsubishi Spirit, reinforcing dealer customer satisfaction, strengthening friendship and camaraderie and most of all showcasing skills on vehicle sales, Parts merchandising and Service of dealer personnel nationwide. This event was also designed to gauge how Mitsubishi Motors dealers handle all types of customer in all facets, whether vehicle sales parts and service. The event was tapped with three competitions for Mitsubishi and Fuso Hotshots for passenger vehicles and truck sales, Genuine Part Specialist and Service Plus that were done simultaneously.
At the end of the 1 day competition, Carworld, MMPC's central Luzon dealer was judged as the overall champion based on the total points it garnered for all categories. The dealers which topped the individual categories were: Carworld, Inc. for Mitsubishi sales Hotshots; Citimotors for Fuso Sales Hotshots; Freeway Motors Baliuag for Genuine Parts Specialist; while AMCAR bagged the best servicing team winning both the best service advisor and best technician awards. As an additional incentive to the champion and runner up of the service category, MMPC will send them to the Mitsubishi Motors Asian Technician Contest in Japan which will commence on March of 2009.
