In case you don't believe the news, Manila has really been chosen as one of the filming locations of the Hollywood film Bourne Legacy. The film is the final installment to the Bourne universe based on Robert Ludlum's novels. The production will be cause a slight disruption of traffic in some parts of Manila from today (January 11) until January 15. The Metro Manila Development Authority has announced the affected areas and has prescribed alternative routes for affected motorists.
From January 11 until January 13, a portion of Leveriza Street will be be temporarily closed from 5am until 6pm; while the stretch of Quirino Avenue between Taft Avenue and M. Adriatico will be have intermittent traffic control from 7am until 5pm.
Eastbound motorists on President Quirino Avenue from Roxas Boulevard to Taft Avenue will have to turn right at M. Adriatico, left at Bagong Lipunan, and turn right again on President Quirino Avenue.
Westbound motorists on President Quirino Avenue from Taft Avenue to Roxas Boulevard will have to divert through San Andres, right at L.M. Guerero, left on Maria Orosa, right at Andres, left on M. Adriatico and turn right on President Quirino Avenue.
On January 14, Leveriza Street will again be closed from 5pm to 12mn, while part of San Andres from Quirino to Leveriza will be closed from 12mn until 6am January 15.
Affected motorists from Taft Avenue heading towards Roxas Boulevard through San Andres will have to turn right at Remedios, take a left at Maria Orosa and then right at San Andres towards their destination.
Motorists along President Quirino from South Superhighway going towards to Roxas Boulevard through San Andres are advised to turn right at Leon Guinto, take a left at Remedios through Taft Avenue and making a left to Maria Orosa before turning right to San Andres.
For January 15, the last filming schedule; Leveriza Street (from Ilang-Ilang to Quirino) will be closed from 5pm to 12mn, while intermittent traffic control will be implemented along President Quirino Avenue (from Taft Avenue to M. Adriatico) from 12mn to 5am the next day.
Westbound motorists coming from Taft Avenue to Roxas Boulevard via President Quirino Avenue will have to turn right turn to San Andres, make a left turn at M. Adriatico, and turn right to President Quirino Avenue.
Eastbound motorists coming from Roxas Boulevard via President Quirino Avenue will have to turn right at M. Adriatico, left at Vito Cruz, and left at Taft Avenue to destination.
To assist motorists through the affected areas, the MMDA will deploy additional traffic enforcers along the alternate routes.
