MMDA announces roadworks in 19 intersections in Metro Manila
There will be several nighttime and daytime roadworks in Metro Manila from Jan 25 – 30
Heads up motorists, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) recently announced that there will be several lane closures on 19 intersections across Metro Manila. The closure will make way for traffic signalization projects, road works, as well as painting lane markings on the road.
The roadworks will be split into two: daytime and nighttime activities. The former will take place between the hours of 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM while the latter will occur between 10:00 PM – 5:00 AM. The lane closures and other roadwork activities will cover various cities/municipalities within Metro Manila including Caloocan City, Quezon City, Las Pinas City, Manila, Pateros, and Paranaque City.
Listed below are the dates of activities that will take place during daytime and nighttime.
Daytime (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
-Excavation and restoration of sidewalks and installation of footings and handholes at Deparo-Susano and Zapote – Camarin intersections in Caloocan City from January 25 to January 31
-Installation of Lanterns at Xavierville Ave. - E. Abada St. in Quezon City on January 27 and Blumentritt - Sto. Tomas in Manila City on January 28
-Installation of signal cables at M. Almeda - C. Almeda in Pateros on January 29
Nighttime (10:00 PM – 5:00 AM)
-Road works at Deparo-Susano intersection in Caloocan City from January 25 to January 31
-Restoration works at Deparo-Susano and Zapote – Camarin intersections in Caloocan City from January 25 to January 31
-Lane markings at:
Alabang-Zapote Road-Quirino Ave. (under the flyover) in Las Pinas City from January 25 to January 27
Alabang-Zapote Road-Manila Times (Mitsubishi Motors) in Las Pinas City from January 27 to January 29
Alabang-Zapote Road- Palace (Southland) in Las Pinas City from January 29 to January 31
-Loop activities at:
Alabang Palace and Concha in Las Pinas City from January 25 to January 26
SM Sucat and Amvil in Las Pinas City from January 26 to January 27
TESDA and Armstrong in Paranaque City from January 27 to January 28
B. Morcilla - M. Almeda in Pateros from January 29 to January 30
M. Almeda - C. Almeda in Pateros from January 29 to January 30
-Installation of poles at:
Xavierville Ave. - E. Abada St. in Quezon City on January 25
Blumentritt - Sto. Tomas from in Manila City on January 26
With numerous roadworks happening this week, the MMDA has advised motorists to plan their trips in advance. They should also look for alternate routes if possible.
