Vehicles with plates ending in 5 and 6 can freely travel around the metro tomorrow
We have some good news for motorists that plan to head out tomorrow, December 8.
In celebration of the Feast of the Immaculate Conception (which is a special non-working holiday), the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority announced that the modified number coding scheme between 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM is suspended tomorrow.
This means vehicles with license plates ending in 5 or 6 can freely go around Metro Manila between the aforementioned hours without the fear of violating the modified Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program (UVVRP).
Also suspended tomorrow is the Modified Light Trucks Ban along EDSA which runs from 5:00 AM until 9:00 PM. With it, light trucks that weigh 4,500kg and below can travel from Magallanes in Makati City all the way to North EDSA in Quezon City, no problem.
With the number coding scheme set to be suspended tomorrow, expect more vehicles to ply Metro Manila's roads, especially with the holiday rush just around the corner.
