In celebration of the People Power anniversary tomorrow, MMDA suspends the UVVRP
Thinking of heading out tomorrow but afraid you might get flagged down for violating the modified number coding scheme? Lucky for you, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has announced that it will be suspended tomorrow.
In celebration of the 36th anniversary of the People Power Revolution, the MMDA said that the Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program (aka the UVVRP) will not be in effect tomorrow, February 25, 2022.
This means vehicles with plate numbers ending in 9 and 0 can freely go around Metro Manila tomorrow (except Makati) between the hours of 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM.
Since the modified number coding scheme will be suspended tomorrow, expect more cars on the road since it’s both a Friday and holiday tomorrow. In addition, the long weekend could also mean there will be more cars heading to the expressways to enjoy some R&R outside the metro.
