Subaru engineers raise the bar with 20th anniversary Legacy model
Motor Image Pilipinas, Inc. heralds the arrival of the fully redesigned fifth-generation Subaru Legacy and Outback to the Philippine market. To mark the Legacy's 20th anniversary, Subaru engineers raised the bar with the new series that incorporates Subaru's heritage of handling and performance into a bold and purposeful package.
The new Legacy 2.5GT, and Outback 3.6R asserts their presence on the road with a more aggressive design and also offers the driver an enhanced driving performance, evolved passenger safety and generously increased interior space.
A newly-developed "cradle engine mounting system" enhances the total vehicle performance of the new Legacy and Outback, while keeping the heritage of the Symmetrical All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) with a Horizontally-Opposed (BOXER) engine as Subaru's core technology. The "ring-shaped reinforcement frame body", has evolved providing higher-impact absorbing capacity for multi-directions. All-round safety is further ensured with the Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC) system and dual front, side, curtain and knee airbags.
The Subaru-Intelligent Drive (SI-DRIVE) is featured in the Legacy 2.5GT Sedan/ Wagon and the Outback 3.6R models with three different modes (Intelligent, Sport and Sport Sharp) to suit three specific driving feel, styles and situations.
The introduction of the all-new Legacy and Outback, offering the best combination of handling and performance, and wrapped in a package that demands respect on the road, edges the Legacy into a space which rivals the world's bests. New features include hill hold function paddle shifters, electric parking brakes, dual-zone airconditioning and electric front seats for both driver and passenger. Pricetag for the new Subaru Legacy GT Sedan is set at Php1,998,000, while the Wagon variant is at Php2,098,000. The Subaru Outback will retail for Php2,398,000.
