Lexus has unveiled the new 2015 RC F performance coupe at the 2014 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The 2015 RC F is equipped with the most powerful Lexus V8 engine that can generate up to 456 ps and more than 519 Newton-meters of torque.
The Lexus RC F based its design from the Lexus LFA supercar especially with regards to the air cooling system and the aerodynamics. Same as the LFA, an active rear spoiler is incorporated into the trunk lid to provide down force at speed of more than 80 km/h.
The RC F also features its own version of the Lexus signature spindle grille that dominates the front part of the vehicle from hood line to lower lip.
The interior design of the Lexus RC F includes combination meters that have a digital and analog speedometer, differential torque vectoring monitor, G-Force meter, oil and water temperature gauges, mileage information and a stopwatch.
The power of the Lexus 2015 RC F is generated with an all-new 5.0-liter 32-valve V8 engine. Lexus says the RC F uses the Atkinson cycle at cruising speeds and then switches to Otto cycle at higher rpm to be able to enhance fuel economy.
Making its debut for the Lexus brand is the Torque Vectoring Differential that has three driving modes: the Standard mode provides balance nimble performance and stability; the Slalom mode puts emphasis on nimble steering response; and the Track mode which gives the RC F consistent stability as the driver applies more throttle.
