Alfa Romeo has revealed the production version of the 4C Spider at the 2015 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
As a review, the said vehicle was first previewed as a concept during last year's Geneva Motor Show. From the looks of it, Alfa Romeo has retained most of the design shown at the concept version. Up front, the 2015 4C Spider has similar headlights, air intakes and sculpted hood. Alfa Romeo says the vehicle is fitted with a carbon fiber windshield frame providing strength and lightness.
Turning at the side, it gets additional sculpted air intakes seen at the lower part of the vehicle. Alfa Romeo adds that a removable and stowable cloth roof will be available alongside an optional exposed carbon fiber hardtop that matches the windshield frame.
The rear of the 2015 4C Spider is equipped with round LED taillights along with an aerodynamically tuned spoiler and air intakes. It also comes with an optional Akrapovic performance exhaust system featuring center-mounted tips.
Inside, it has two composite-framed leather sports seats, flat-bottomed leather steering wheel, aluminum pedals, carbon fiber vent surrounds and a seven-inch full-color driver information display.
The 2015 4C Spider is powered by a 1.75-liter turbocharged engine that delivers 240 PS and 349 Nm of torque. It can go from 0-97 km/h in 4.1 seconds with a top speed of 258 km/h.
