It looks like the Navara is proving to be Nissan's best-selling model to date as it led the automaker's record monthly sales figure once more.
Recently, Nissan Philippines Inc. (NPI) posted its overall sales figure for the month of September with an all-time high of 4,768 units sold. This cemented the automaker's top-three position in among members of the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers in the Philippines (CAMPI).
This marks the company's highest monthly sales in the Philippines, outperforming the previous record of 4,616 units sold in March 2019. In addition, the 4,768 units sold last month translates to a 21.8% increase compared to the same period last year.
Leading the charge is the Navara which accounted for 46% of the sales for September. Moreover, the Navara's strong sales made it the best-selling pickup truck in the country for the month of September. Also helping Nissan make its record sales figure is the Terra which contributed 23% of sales last month.
In addition, both the Navara and Terra recently received a tech upgrade courtesy of a new touchscreen display. Called Advanced Audio Display, the 8-inch touchscreen comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard. And thanks to the bigger display, drivers now have a better view of the 360-degree around view monitor.
"The strong sales performance is the result of the company's strong fundamentals. Excellent products and services, supported by passionate employees and dealer partners are the foundations of Nissan's continued success in the Philippines,” said Atsushi Najima, president and managing director of Nissan Philippines Inc.
