The 2015 Mercedes-Benz V-Class recently made its global unveil in Munich, Germany. The new V-Class will replace the Viano, it was designed to combine great cabin space without compromising style and comfort. Mercedes-Benz says the new V-Class can accommodate room for up to eight people with high-class appeal, comfort, efficient driving pleasure, and safety features.
The V-Class will be offered in a standard 5170mm wheelbase long-form and an extended wheelbase extra-long version measuring at 5370mm. It will have a 1880mm height allowing access to parking buildings and standard garages.
The front of the V-Class is equipped with an upright radiator grille and LED headlights. Moving towards the back, the V-Class has an sculpted body, a sweeping shoulder, and wheel arches.
The interior of the V-Class is equipped with Fine Nappa leather seats same as with the steering wheel and shift lever. It also has a multifunction steering wheel with 12 function keys and DIRECT SELECT lever. Furthermore, a touchpad is also one of the features of the new V-Class which can control all telematic functions such as answering a call, controlling the audio system, navigation, and internet browsing.
Under the hood, the new V-Class is powered with two options. First is the V 220 CDI that can generate 165 ps and up to 380 Newton-meters of torque. The other option is the V 250 BlueTEC engine that has a power of 193 ps and up to 440 Newton-meters of torque.
Safety is also one of the key concept of the V-Class that’s why it is equipped with a modern radar, camera, and ultrasound sensors. The standard equipment includes Crosswind Assist which stabalizes the vehicle in strong gusts of crosswind and Attention Assist which can warn of driver’s inattention and fatigue. The Active Park Assist is available optionally.
Aside from these features, the V-Class also includes a 360-degree camera, DISTRONIC PLUS proximity control in conjunction with COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST, Traffic Sign Assist with wrong-way warning, Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Assist, the LED Intelligent Light System and Adaptive Highbeam Assist.
