Sleeker, more high-tech Honda HR-V to debut soon
Honda Cars Philippines Inc (HCPI) has something special to reveal this August. After making its regional debut in Thailand a few months ago, the automaker is set to launch the 2018 HR-V.
First revealed in 2015, the second-generation HR-V was designed for customers with an active urban lifestyle. It blends coupe-like aesthetics with SUV-like dimensions, and the riding comfort of a family sedan. Since its initial launch three years ago, HCPI has sold 5,000 units of the HR-V as of June 2018.
The 2018 HR-V will feature a revised exterior look that is highlighted by a sleeker Solid Wing Face design. It will also have full LED headlights with LED daytime running lights, new front and rear bumpers and a fresh set of alloy wheels.
Under the hood of the 2018 HR-V is the 1.8-liter R18Z9 SOHC inline-four with i-VTEC. The engine produces 141 PS and 174 Nm of torque. It is mated to a continuously variable transmission CVT) with a seven-speed manual mode and paddle shifters.
Exterior colors for the 2018 HR-V are: Lunar Silver Metallic (1.8 E CVT only), Modern Steel Metallic, Passion Red Pearl (new) and Tafetta White. Exclusively available only for the top-spec RS Navi CVT variant is a new hue called Phoenix Orange.

2018 HR-V 1.8 RS CVT - Php 1,500,000
