If there is one place we want to visit once the pandemic and travel restriction ends, it's Japan.
Wherever in Japan you go, there is good food, beautiful sceneries, and, more importantly, nice cars. For those who want a combination of the three without having to travel too far out of the capital, they can check out Mitsubishi Motor’s new “playground” at their headquarters in Tamachi, Tokyo.
Called the MI-Playground, it is Mitsubishi’s new headquarter showroom. Yes, it is a showroom featuring the automaker’s latest models such as the Outlander and Eclipse Cross, but the facility also has a lot to offer for non-car enthusiasts, families, and even kids.
Apart from being able to check out the vehicles on display (and their various purposes), the MI-Playground also has a lifestyle space where visitors can relax and enjoy some tea and desserts.
“The MI-Playground refers to an idea that everyone can experience and enjoy this platform, where "M" stands for Mitsubishi Motors, and "I" stands for intelligent, inspiration, ingenious, and interaction. MI-Playground marks the company's dedication to continuously enriching customer experience that feels personal, adventurous, and progressive,” said the company in a statement.
For those fortunate enough to be in Japan right now, we suggest you try and drop by Mitsubishi’s MI-Playground. The area is open to the public and is easily accessible via public transport. The second floor, where the lifestyle space is located, can be reached by the pedestrian deck which is directly connected with the JR Tamachi Station Shibaura Exit.
Mitsubishi has plans to expand the showroom in the future featuring concept cars and even a workshop. No doubt the MI-Playground is on our list of places to visit once we can travel to Japan once more. Hopefully, by that time, the expansion of MI-Playground will have been completed already.
