The 2016 Chevrolet Spark is a new car from the wheels up. Riding on an all new platform, the new Spark offers greater efficiency and refinement while adding more safety and connectivity features.

In terms of styling, the new Spark resembles the Sonic subcompact scaled down for the city car class. Gone are the headlights that reach all the way to the base of the windshield pillars. In its place are a pair or simpler yet still aggressive headlights. The whole front of the car still features Chevrolet's traditional split grille. Like the Sonic, the roofline tapers down towards the rear with its rear door handles tucked in by the corner of the window. The Spark's rear tailgate is all new and features an integrated spoiler. All in all, the redesign gives the Spark a more mature look.

Inside, an all new instrument panel with advanced LCD displays infotainment and climate system controls. It also comes with color coded interior trims and Chevrolet MyLink system.

The 2016 Spark also has an all new engine. The 1.4 liter Ecotec produces 99 PS and connected by either a five speed manual or a Continuously Variable Transmission.

For safety, it will come 10 standard air bags such as driver/front passenger knee air bags, roof rail side air bags and seat-mounted thorax/pelvic air bags. A rollover sensing and protection system is also offered. It will also come with camera-based active safety features like Forward Collision Alert, Lane Departure Warning and Side Blind Spot Alert

The Spark will be built in South Korea and be exported to over 40 countries worldwide.
