New York-based Lyons Motor Cars recently released renderings of the bespoke LM2 Streamliner supercar which will debut next week at the 2015 New York Auto Show.

Labeled by the company as “an ultra high end luxury super car”, the LM2 Streamliner features a full carbon fiber body structure that is paired with a twin-turbocharged V8 that pumps out a healthy 1700 PS.

From the name itself, it has a very streamlined silhouette that is accompanied by curvaceous arches and long flowing lines. The front end features thin LED headlights while the side has a near seamless look. The rear section on the other hand was kept simple as it only consist of small taillights, a 9-inch diameter exhaust pipe and a diffuser.

Details about the LM2 Streamliner

It has no side mirrors as well as door handles since the company decided to use three cameras that acts as the rearview and side mirrors while touch-sensitive sensors placed in the side windows open and close the car doors. It has no wiring harnesses or relay switches as most of the functions according to the automaker can be programmed via an iPhone or similar smartphone.

Providing power to all four wheels is a twin-turbo 8.2-liter DOHC V8 that cranks out 1700 PS and 2,180 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 7-speed dual clutch gearbox that allows the supercar to sprint from 0 – 97 km/h in 2.2 seconds. Stopping power on the other hand is provided by carbon ceramic cross-drilled brakes that have 8-piston calipers at the front and 6-piston calipers at the rear.

Expect more details about the upcoming supercar from Lyons Motor Cars as it makes its global premiere next week in New York.
