Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) have something in store for this year's New York Auto Show as they recently announced that they will be revealing the Club Edition of the all-new MX-5 Miata next week.

While no official images of the car were provided by MNAO, the company did describe it as the “most aggressive road going iteration” of the fourth-generation roadster. This may indicate that the Club Edition may be fitted with an aerodynamic bodykit that is derived from the track-ready MX-5 which will be used during the company's Global Cup Series.

It will be powered by the 2.0-liter inline-four SkyActiv engine that puts out 157 PS and 200 Nm of torque. It can be mated to either a 6-speed manual or onto a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
