Think the F-Pace has not enough horses under the hood? Better think again as Jaguar has just confirmed that they will be arriving at this year's New York Auto Show with something special.

Last seen by our spies draped in camouflage late last year, Jaguar is set to hold the world debut of the mighty F-Pace SVR. Armed with a supercharged powertrain, it is set to take on the likes of the BMW X5 M and Porsche Cayenne Turbo.

Developed in-house by Jaguar Land Rover's Special Vehicle Operations, the automaker claimed that the F-Pace SVR will be their 'fastest and most powerful' version of the SUV. Details regarding its powertrain, however, are still kept under wraps. But given its SVR designation, expect the hotter F-Pace to come with a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 that doles out 570 PS or more.

Beside the more potent engine, the F-Pace SVR may also get a beefed-up suspension, as well as bigger brakes for better stopping power. Sticky high-performance tires could also be made available that are wrapped in unique alloy wheels.

As far as its design is concerned, the more powerful F-Pace will most likely come with a more aerodynamic front end as well as better cooling for the engine and brakes. Also, the F-Pace SVR may come with four exhausts as the prototype we saw from before carried those.
