Next-gen Infiniti QX50 to debut at Los Angeles Auto Show

Next-gen Infiniti QX50 to debut at Los Angeles Auto Show
'Most advanced' Infiniti teaser to preview production model QX50
At the upcoming Dubai International Motor Show, Infiniti will be revealing the all new QX80 fullsize SUV. However, Nissan's luxury marque will also be debuting another mystery vehicle at the Los Angeles Auto Show this coming November 28. Apart from the teaser sketch released by Infiniti, all we have to go on is that it will be the marque's 'most advanced' Infiniti to date.
Going over the sketch, it shows a sleek wagon or shooting brake like design, possibly even a sporty crossover. This prompts us to believe that the vehicle in question is likely not the QX80 SUV, but rather a completely different mystery vehicle. However, if one were to look at the file names of the photo invites, they are actually titled 'invite-to-2018-QX60-world-premiere' and 'QX60-invite', leading us to believe that the model to be revealed at the LA Auto Show is the next-generation QX60.
Update: Sources have said however that it will not be the next-gen QX60, but instead the production model QX50 previewed earlier this year in concept guise. The mid-size premium SUV will follow Infiniti's signature Powerful Elegance design language, and will likely be similar to the concept previewed earlier. Powering the QX50 will be the new 2.0-liter variable compression turbo (VC-Turbo) gasoline engine which produces 272 PS and 390 Nm of torque and can change compression depending on driving conditions. It will also feature new autonomous drive technology which will act as the driver's co-pilot
Due to be revealed in a few weeks time, expect Infiniti to drop more teasers about the upcoming QX50. From there, we may get more details about the upcoming vehicle before it is completely revealed at the upcoming LA Auto Show.
