Porsche fans and customers can now purchase the next generation 2013 Porsche Boxster from the official and exclusive distributor of Porsche in the Philippines, PGA Cars.
The Boxter (called the 981) features a design more similar to the new Type 991 Porsche 911 as well as the Porsche 918, and gets wider tracks in the front and in the rear. The Boxster also gets a new chassis that has been reworked to be stiffer for better handling while the new model becomes lighter overall.
The 2013 Porsche Boxster features revised engines and transmissions for both the standard and S models. The Boxster gets a 2.7 liter Flat-6 that develops 265 PS and 280 Newton meters of torque while the Boxster S gets a 3.4 liter Flat-6 that produces 315 PS and 360 Newton meters of torque. Both a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetreibe, or PDK dual clutch transmission are available.
The 2013 Porsche Boxter, fresh from Germany, will retail for just under PhP 5M while the 2013 Porsche Boxster S will be at PhP 6.7M.
With the Boxter now available, the next step for PGA is the new Cayman that was revealed at the L.A. Auto Show this month.
