The next-generation of Peugeot cars will feature an all-new interior after the company recently revealed the new i-Cockpit. It will feature advanced ergonomics, a more driver-oriented finish, heads-up digital displays and touchscreen function.

According to Peugeot, the new i-Cockpit will retain certain elements of the current-generation design that is present on the 208, 2008 and 308. Starting with the steering wheel, it is now more compact and has a more angular shape with new multi-function controls. The company also added that it will deliver a greater field of vision and legroom for the driver.

In terms of features, it will also have electronic parking brake, new gear shifter, engine start/stop button near the center console and what appears to be soft-touch controls for the climate control system. Other cabin amenities that will also make its way in the new i-Cockpit include: 3D Navigation, voice recognition, automatic text reading, Apple CarPlay, MirrorLink and Android Auto compatibility.
