Nissan announced that its total 2015 retail sales in Asia and Oceania has achieved a 6-percent increased to 272,646 units.
In the Philippines, Nissan posted a 52.8-percent sales growth to 11,420 units as compared to 7,473 units in 2014. This comes after the launch of key models like the NP300 Navara, NV350 Urvan, and the updated Almera.
In Indonesia, Datsun GO+ continued to be the best-seller with total year-end sales of 16,189 units, followed by Grand Livina, which delivered sales of 6,678 units.
Nissan Korea registered its best ever sales performance with a total of 5,737 units in 2015, an increase of 30-percent compared to 4,411 units last year.
The brand also did well in Malaysia, yielding 19.3-percent increase with 51,545 units sold as compared to 43,210 last 2014. On the other hand, Thailand registered a 13.6-percent drop in sales while Australia ended 2015 with a 0.02-percent decrease.
For December 2015, Nissan reports that the total Asia and Oceania sales posted a 19.6-percent increase with 25,729 units.
In Thailand, December 2015 sales were 6,342 units, a 12 percent increase versus the prior year. Navara and X-Trail recorded the highest sales since their launch in 2014 with 2,523 units and 1,407 units, respectively. X-Trail sales also came in at the top of the SUV segment for two consecutive months.
Total sales for Nissan Indonesia were 5,094 units, a 15.8 percent increase versus the previous year. Datsun GO+ was the key seller with 2,061 units sold.
Nissan Malaysia sold 4,611 units, a 126.5 percent increase from 2014. According to the company, the positive sales performance were driven by the Almera with 1,829 units and the X-Trail with 1,138 units.
Nissan December 2015 sales in the Philippines yielded 1,008 units, a 42-percent increase versus last year.
Nissan Singapore also reported a 208.4 percent increase versus the prior year with 1,141 units sold.
