Next-gen Leaf slated for later 2017 debut
Given that the next generation Nissan Leaf is set to make a debut in September and shortly go on sale after, it comes to no surprise the Nissan has released an initial teaser photo. The lone teaser photo of the upcoming Leaf shows us its new headlight. The headlight appears to be using a dual-projector design, with LED daytime running lights surrounding the projector housing.
Apart from the lone-headlight photo, Nissan has not released any other details regarding the Leaf. They do say that the teaser image is part of a 'series of photos and informational briefs scheduled this summer in preparation for the global reveal of the new Nissan Leaf later this year.'
The upcoming Leaf is said to have taken its design from the Nissan IDS Concept. Along with that, it is said to have a longer range, and the 60kWh power pack found on the IDS as an option. With Nissan being quiet about technical details, it is better to take this information with a grain of salt.
With that, we can expect Nissan to release more details and teasers photos of the next generation Leaf as soon as its official reveal date draws nearer.
