Nissan just unveiled its next-generation Teana in China, this follows the launching of the next generation Sylphy(Sentra) last year. The series of global unveils made in China might signify the country's market as a very big factor for the brand.
It also signals the brand streamlining its vehicle platforms with the new Teana being based on the Altima instead of creating a separate one for it. Nonetheless, the new Teana features a new QR25DE engine mated to Nissan's Xtronic CVT and a reengineered rear multi-link suspension system.
The new Teana now looks sportier than the previous models with the new grille pulled all the way back to its new headlamps while the chrome trims keep it looking as elegant as it can be. The wide front wheel arches continues to the car's beltline before a prominent character line flows all the way to the tail lamps.
Aside from the exterior and power train improvements, the third generation Teana now features a host of technical and safety innovations. It now has Nissan's Safety Shield technologies and zero gravity-inspired seats for ultimate comfort on long drives.
“The new Teana is the ambassador of what the Nissan brand stands for: quality, style and innovation that excites," said Nissan Executive Vice President Andy Palmer at Teana's global unveiling ceremony in Guangzhou. “Not only does Teana meet the needs and desires of our customers, but we also expect it will strengthen our position in the demanding luxury sedan segment."
