Nissan NV350 Urvan gets refreshed for 2018

Updated Nissan NV350 rolls out in Japan

Nissan's people carrier gets a significant update for 2018. In their home country, the automaker has rolled out the updated NV350 with a revamped look, plus more tech and kit. Called the NV350 Caravan in Japan, it is better known as the NV350 Urvan in the Philippines

As part of its update, the front features a more prominent 'V-motion' grill. Also, the front bumper gets tweaked with a apron and foglight housings. Rounding up the changes to the front are LED headlights. The rear meanwhile gets new tail lights with rearranged clusters. Also new is the wheel cover design. As for the rest of the van, it carries over unchanged

Also carried over is the interior design and layout. Seen here is a touchscreen monitor and an automatic climate control system. These are options that have been available in Japan since it was first launched there back in 2012. Should the updated model make its way to the country soon, it is yet unknown if the local models will have these options.

This being a van, a wide variety of seating configurations are available. There are three-passenger versions for cargo hauling applications, as well as fourteen seater variants to serve as passenger shuttles. For the Japanese market, the 2018 NV350 can be specified with different body styles, each with different body lengths and widths, as well as roof heights. Standard safety features on the Japan-spec NV350 include Intelligent Emergency Braking, stability control with traction control and Hill Start Assist. There is also a surround view parking camera to aid parking in tight spots.

In Japan, there are three engine options available for the refreshed Urvan. Two four-cylinder gas engines are on hand, one with 2.0-liters and the other, with 2.5-liters. The lone diesel is the familiar 2.5-liter unit powering the current model. All Japan-spec models shift via a five-speed automatic transmission and select models get the option of four-wheel drive.
