Since the country was struck with the COVID-19 virus, just about every industry gave a helping hand to the nation's front liners. The automotive sector isn't exempt from that, providing donations and vehicles to those who need it the most.
Nissan Philippines Inc. (NPI) is one of them, and they haven't stopped helping. They even got help from a car club. Recently, Nissan, along with Nissan Urvan Pilipinas, donated 1,100 meals to medical front liners at the Research Institute of Tropical Medicine (RITM) fighting the COVID-19 pandemic. The meals were distributed to RITM staff, doctors, nurses, and medical technicians who handle the COVID-19 testing.
“Nissan’s vision of enriching people’s lives is a commitment to our customers and our communities. We aim to contribute in the fight against the pandemic in every way we can, from ensuring the health of our people and customers in our workplaces to supporting our medical front liners through this donation,” said Atsushi Najima, President and Managing Director of Nissan Philippines Inc.
RITM is one of the many medical facilities Nissan Philippines has helped over the past couple of months. Aside from this recent donation, the company also distributed meals to medical front liners at various medical centers in Metro Manila last June. As a tribute to the country's medical workers, NPI even made a video to all those fighting the virus.
