Pickup-crazy Thailand is getting their hands on a special edition model of the Nissan Navara. It's called the Black Edition 2 and from its namesake, the pickup gets a plethora of blacked-out styling elements as well as eye-catching accents both inside and out.
Right off the bat, the Black Edition 2 greets you with a dark front grill and black foglight bezels which add to the menacing look of the pickup. Other portions of the vehicle like the alloy wheels, running boards, side mirror caps, door handles, and the rear bumper are finished in black paint as well.
Providing a bit of contrast to the predominantly dark exterior are some orange accents that can be seen on the lower front grill, side mirrors as well as the running boards. Topping it all off are some distinct body graphics and 'Black Edition' letting on the quarter panels.
Available colors for the Nissan Navara Black Edition 2 are the following: Red Burning Red, White Pearl, Twilight Gray, and Black Star.
Stepping inside, the Black Edition 2 remains relatively the same. The only difference this special edition pickup has on the inside are the black leather seats with alternating orange mesh fabric, and the bright contrast stitching which is also painted orange. Other than that, this blacked-out special also comes with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment systmem that supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, voice recognition, and navigation, and the 360-degree around-view monitoring (AVM).
Powering the Black Edition 2 is a 2.5-liter turbo-diesel engine. Since this is only available as a 4x2 model, the engine has been detuned to put out 163 PS and 403 Nm of torque. It can be mated to either a six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic transmission.
There is no word yet if Nissan Philippines Inc (NPI) will also release a Black Edition special for the local market. However, the company does offer a Sport Edition variant which gets a mesh front grill, different set of alloy wheels, a sport bar, and leather trimmmings.
