NLEX renames interchange after popular Pampanga brand
The next time you head out to the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), don't be confused if you see new signs that indicate the new name of the familiar NLEX San Fernando Interchange.
Manila North Tollways Corporation (MNTC) formalized a deal with Pampanga's Best Inc. to change the name of one of its major interchanges after one of the province’s most popular brand.
NLEX Corp. president and CEO Rodrigo Franco and Pampanga's Best Inc president Angelo Hizon Jr. officially signed the agreement renaming San Fernando Interchange to ‘San Fernando Pampanga's Best.’
19 directional signs along NLEX will be changed to reflect the agreement along with the addition of the brand on the interchanges structures.
"Pampanga's Best Inc. is the first food company to partner with NLEX. Being a catalyst of growth in Pampanga, it suits well for the naming rights to its home city, San Fernando," said Renato Ticson, president of NLEX Ventures Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of NLEX Corporation.
"There's synergy with the partnership as NLEX and Pampanga's Best share the same value of excellence and commitment to contribute to the progress of communities where they belong," said Franco.
"With this partnership, we hope to share to our customers our mission of providing Pampanga's Best products to every Filipino household worldwide and enable them to experience our expertise and the good values we poured in our products and services," added Hizon Jr.
NLEX management also sees the move not just as branding but also the creation of a legacy that will last through generations.
