Still haven't set an appointment to get an AutoSweep RFID sticker for your vehicle? Well, we have some good news. San Miguel Corporation (SMC) recently announced that AutoSweep is now accepting walk-in applicants once again.

Officially announced last November 23, 2020, all AutoSweep stations can now accommodate the first 100 walk-in applicants daily. This covers all of the AutoSweep RFID installation sites located along SLEX, STAR Tollway, Skyway, NAIAX, and TPLEX.

But what about those that have already set an appointment at their preferred installation site? According to SMIT, those that made online appointments will be given priority. All those that wish to get an RFID sticker are reminded to strictly observe social distancing protocols, as well as to always wear a mask during the installation process.

Stations that can entertain the first 100 walk-in applicants are open from 6:00 AM until 6:00 PM, 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM, 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM, as well as 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, depending on the location. There are also stations that are open 24/7 and include Shell – Magallanes, Old NAIAX Toll Gate, Runway NB Toll Gate, Eton NB Toll Gate, Southwoods NB Toll Gate, and TPLEX Tarlac RFID Center.

In the future, SMC plans to put up 100 additional AutoSweep RFID installation sites in order to meet the increase in demand. The company also plans to increase the number of available RFID stickers per station once the expected bulk delivery of RFID stickers has been received. Lastly, SMC will also offer offsite installation at barangays or villages to help those who cannot make it to the expressways to get a sticker.

In case you won't be able to get a tag before the December 1 deadline, there's no need to panic. According to the Department of Transportation (DOTr), all expressway toll gates will become RFID installation lanes. That means you can get an RFID sticker installed on your vehicle as you head towards your destination.
