Peugeot has just named world number two ranked tennis icon Novak Djokovic as its new international brand ambassador. The French automaker further strengthens its presence in the tennis world with the new announcement as the brand celebrates 30 years of partnership with Roland Garros, the French Open.

Djokovic was chosen particularly by Peugeot because they believe he embodies the same values of brand: Excellence, Allure and Emotion.

"I'm happy to represent a great French automobile manufacturer, recognised throughout the world, with an industrial history going back 200 years. In my eyes PEUGEOT embodies French elegance, refinement and the expression of a certain art of living," said Djokovic. 

Novak Djokovic will start his season with the Australian Open on 13 January 2014.
