MMDA announces suspension of UVVRP on the following dates

Need to make some last-minute shopping on Dec 24th? We have some good news for motorists that dread the modified number coding scheme.

The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has just announced that the Modified Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program (UVVRP) will be suspended on certain dates over the holidays. These include December 24 (Friday), December 30 (Thursday), and December 31 (Friday).

This means that on the 24th and 31st of December, vehicles with license plates that end on 9 and 0 are free to travel around Metro Manila (except Makati City) without fear of violating the modified UVVRP. Meanwhile, vehicles with license plates that end in 7 and 8 will have no trouble getting around on the 30th of December.

With the modified number coding scheme set to be suspended on the following dates, those that need to buy food or gifts on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve can do so. Just remember to stay safe and follow the minimum health and safety protocols. The pandemic is still ongoing despite the continued lowering of cases.
