Ford has built an aviation-inspired Mustang dubbed as the Apollo edition to benefit the Experimental Aircraft Association's (EAA) youth education programs.
According to Ford, the one-off Mustang Apollo edition has been auctioned for USD 230,000 (around PhP 10.5 million) during the 2015 EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
Based on a 2015 Mustang GT, the Apollo edition has black and white exterior paint along with a carbon fiber front splitter, a rear diffuser, rocker moldings and LED underbody lights. Furthermore, the vehicle is fitted with a sport-tuned suspension, six-piston Brembo brakes and 21-inch Forgiato wheels.
Inside, the cabin features performance gauges, modified instrument cluster, embroidered seats and unique floor mats. The interior also has a three-spoke steering wheel along with red and white color accent.
The Mustang Apollo edition is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 engine that delivers 636 PS and 731 Nm of torque.
