Lamborghinis are in high demand these days
If you're in the market for a brand new Lamborghini, you may have to wait for a long time.
Lamborghini's President and CEO Stephen Winkelmann has told a French publication that they have already pre-sold the entire production run of the Italian sports car maker until 2024, with its order books covered for the next 18 months.
Despite global economic uncertainty caused by Russia's invasion of Ukraine and the ensuing chip shortage, Lamborghini is enjoying a high demand for their models. In early August, Lamborghini posted record sales and profits in the first half of the year, as they sold a total of 5,090 cars – their best performance yet.
“We have more and more stepping into Lamborghini. Because they trust the brand, they see how beautiful the cars are, how high performing they are” said Winkelmann.
With Lamborghini planning to introduce electrified models in all of its model lineup in 2024, loyal customers of the Italian brand may want to get their hands on the last “pure” ICE Lamborghinis like the V10-powered Huracan, the V12 Aventador, and their best-seller, the twin-turbo V8 Urus SUV.
Whether it's a case of YOLO or revenge buying after being stuck in the pandemic for two years, the world's wealthiest are out to splurge.
