Newly-opened mega facility can vaccinate 3,000 to 5,000 individuals daily

Don't have a vaccine against COVID yet? Those that plan on getting their first jab can now head on to a mega vaccination facility without having to leave their vehicle.

This comes after the National Task Force (NTF) Against COVID-19, together with the Paranaque City government, opened a mega vaccination facility at the Nayong Pilipino Foundation. Officially opened to the public yesterday, the facility was established in coordination with the private sector and was designed after the drive-through system found in Arizona, USA.

According to the NTF, the new facility can vaccinate approximately 3,000 to 5,000 individuals daily. Come September, they plan to raise its daily capacity to 15,000 individuals as it will have an ambulatory vaccination area for walk-ins.

For now, walk-ins are not yet allowed in the facility. Instead, recipients are required to register online at Paranaque City's COVID Vaccine Access Program. Those interested to get inoculated can go to the website and register even if they are non-residents.

Paranaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez added that Metro Manila mayors are planning to offer shuttle rides to their residents who want to get vaccinated at the Nayong Pilipino vaccination facility.

With the country experiencing a surge in cases, the opening of the new Nayong Pilipino vaccination couldn't come at a better time. Those that want to get vaccinated without leaving their car now register online and head to Paranaque City.
