Mercedes-Benz has released images of the facelifted 2015 B-Class packed with exterior and interior enhancements ahead of its world debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show next month.
“The B-Class is the perfect (family) car for anyone who attaches importance to practicality, comfort and safety, but at the same time doesn't want to miss out on sportiness or driving dynamics,” said Ola Källenius, Member of the Divisional Board Mercedes-Benz Cars responsible for Marketing & Sales.
Up front, the facelifted B-Class is fitted with a new bumper, a wide radiator grille that houses the Mercedes-Benz star and an integral daytime running lights infused in the vehicle's headlights. The automaker also offers an optional LED high performance headlights to give the B-Class a more striking look.
The rear of the B-Class is equipped with a restyled bumper that features a trapeziodal chrome exhaust pipes and a bicolor LED tailights.
Inside, the B-Class has an 8-inch free-standing head unit display, 12 color choices for ambient lighting and an optional Keyless-Go feature that allows the vehicle to be opened, started and locked simply by carrying the electronic key with you.
It is powered by four-cylinder units starting with the B 180 that comes with a 1.6-liter engine producing 122 PS with 200 Nm of torque. The B200 is powered by the same engine, but delivers 156 PS with 250 Nm. The B220 4MATIC is equipped with 2.0-liter engine that generates 184 PS with 300 Nm while the B 250 has 211 PS with 350 Nm.
The B 160 CDI comes with a 1.5-liter diesel engine that produces 90 PS with 240 Nm torque. The 180 CDI generates 109 PS with 260 Nm while the B 200 CDI delivers 136 PS and 300 Nm with a 2.1-liter engine while the B 220 CDI offers 177 PS and 350 Nm of torque.
On the other hand, the B-Class Electric Drive is equipped with an electric motor producing 180 PS and 340 Nm of torque.
