Honda has released the official images of the UK-built 2015 Civic ahead of its world debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show next month.
The 2015 Civic gets new headlights with integrated daytime running lights as well as a restyled front bumper. The new 2015 model also gets a redesigned back end with a new rear bumper, new side skirts and a new rear spoiler finished in black flanked by LED taillights.
Inside, the 2015 Civic has new seat fabric, chrome handles and a metallic black control panel. The vehicle is also equipped with the new Honda Connect infotainment system that has a 7-inch display and is powered by an Android operating system.
Moreover, the European Civic line-up has been expanded with the introduction of the 2015 Civic Sport. Honda says the Civic Sport is based on the hatchback mode and will serve as a precurser to the upcoming Civic Type R .
The Civic Sport comes with a different front bumper, a mesh grill, a rear spoiler and 17 inch wheels. The Civic Sport will be powered either by a 1.6-liter diesel engine that delivers 120 PS or a 1.8-liter gasoline engine that generates 142 PS.
The automaker added that the 2015 Civic range will have Honda's City-Brake Active (CTBA) system as standard. The CTBA system is designed to aviod low speed accidents by automatically applying the brakes if an imminent risk of collision is detected. The system is engineered to operate at speeds below 30 km/h.
