Mitsubishi has revealed the Outlander PHEV Concept-S ahead of its debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show next month.
The Japanese automaker says the Outlander PHEV Concept-S is a model presenting a special design package for the production Outlander PHEV. The exterior and interior of the concept vehicle are created under a 'Sporty' and 'Sophisticated' design theme.
The Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV Concept-S measures 4760 mm long, 1840 mm wide and 1700 mm tall. The three-diamond mark with bold chromed accent moldings and a wraparound headlights adorns the front of the concept vehicle. The Outlander PHEV Concept-S also has a muscular front bumper.
The rear of the concept vehicle is fitted with elongated combination taillights and chrome accents. Lastly, the automaker says the Outlander PHEV Concept-S is applied with “Platinum White paint with glass flake finish.”
Inside, the Outlander PHEV Concept-S has a "Black & Burgundy" color scheme along with soft fine leather. It also has a black woodgrain trim with silver accent accent and a center console display. The seats of the concept vehicle is designed with horizontally-ribbed cushioning along with silver accents.
The Outlander PHEV Concept-S is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder DOHC MIVEC gasoline engine coupled with a Twin Motor 4WD and Plug-in Hybrid EV System that is equipped with a 12 kWh lithium-ion battery.
However, the automaker has not yet released the power output rating of the Outlander PHEV Concept-S, although the current Outlander PHEV produces 200 PS and 338 Nm.
