Peugeot has just revealed the 308 GT online ahead of its debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show in October. The French automaker says the 308 GT retains the design elements of the 308 which was highly favored in Europe.
The 308 GT will have a hatchback or station wagon body styles that are infused with “striking exterior design, innovative Peugeot i-Cockpit cabin, varsatile interior and high perceived quality.”
The front grill of the vehicle comes with three horizontal blades and it is where the iconic Peugeot Lion emblem sits. The 308 GT is fitted with LED headlights, new turning lights and air scoops that supplies the engine with additional cooling. At the rear, the 308 GT has a lacquered black difuser along with twin exhaust pipes and it is equipped with an 18-inch wheels.
Inside, the roof lining and upper window pillars are finished in anthracite. Designers also incorporates red stitching to the upholstery trim, dashboard, door panels, gear lever and floor mats. The pedals of the vehicle has aluminum detailing while the door apertures are infused with stainless steel sill finish.
The Peugeot 308 GT will be available with two different engines. The 1.6-liter THP 205 engine delivers 204 PS with 285 Nm of torque and it is mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The other one is the four-cylinder 2.0-liter BlueHDI diesel engine that generates 181 PS with 400 Nm of torque and it is mated to an automatic transmission.
