Nissan’s B-segment offering at the 2016 Paris Motor Show is the all-new Micra Gen5.

It is longer, wider, comes with more interior space than its predecessor and also sports downsized but turbocharged powertrains.

The Micra Gen5 keeps in line with Nissan’s design Sway Concept, which was revealed at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show.

Design cues include the V-motion grille, rear door handles hidden in the C-pillars and a spoiler found on the extended roofline.

Inside, Nissan lowered the driving position and provided a fully adjustable steering wheel. It comes with a 7-inch full color infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and music is sent to a six-speaker Bose® Personal® sound system with two Bose UltraNearfield™ speakers combined with Bose PersonalSpace™ Virtual Audio Technology. If that’s not enough passengers also get the premium audio with new Bose Super65 speakers in each of the front doors.

Under the hood, the Micra Gen5 will initially offer a 0.9L turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine and a 1.5L diesel, both with an output of 91 PS. Coming soon is a 1L naturally-aspirated engine with 74 PS.

It will also feature Active Ride Control for enhanced ride comfort and Active Trace Control for reduced understeer and sharper handling. The roof and side spoiler assists the Micra Gen5 is achieving a drag coefficient of 0.29.

This B-segment offering from Nissan offers an extensive array of advance safety features including Lane Departure Prevention - a segment first, Intelligent Emergency Braking with pedestrian recognition - a first for Nissan vehicles in Europe, Intelligent Around View Monitor, Traffic Sign Recognition, High Beam Assist and Blind Spot Warning.

The Nissan Micra Gen5 will come in 10 colors including Energy Orange and an owner option to personalize the unit 125 different ways. It will be begin sales in Europe by March 2017.
