The Car Awards Group Inc. (CAGI) is a non-stock, non-profit organization of motoring journalists. It conducts consumer-oriented tests of locally-marketed vehicles to help consumers make an informed choice in their car purchases, and to recognize advances in terms of engineering, quality, design and safety.
For the 2007 Petron Car of the Year Awards, CAGI tested 87 cars and trucks over a period of eight Saturdays from August to October 2007 at the San Lazaro Leisure Park in Carmona, Cavite. The winners in various categories were awarded in ceremonies held at the Rockwell Tent in Makati on November 15, 2007.
The 2007 Petron Car of the Year exhibit at MIAS 2008 caps the 4th Car of the Year (COTY) Philippines Awards program and sets the stage for the rigorous technical testing and test drives in the search for the 2008 Petron Car of the Year winner.
