Petron Corporation has announced plans to build retail stations along the Tarlac–Pangasinan–La Union Expressway (TPLEX) pending approval by the Toll Regulatory Board.
No less than their president and chief executive officer Ramon Ang said that 12 retail stations will be built, six on the northbound lane and the other six on the southbound lane.
Petron expects these future stations to have high yield considering the volume of traffic that will go through TPLEX and also because of the calculated distance of each station from the other.
Each retail station is estimated to cost the company Php 250 million each or Php 3 billion for all twelve.
Currently, Petron Corporation has a total of 2,800 retail stations around the country, including the ones in Malaysia.
