Peugeot 2008 to debut in Geneva

208 based B-segment crossover to win new customers in Asia

Peugeot is set to showcase its latest B-segment crossover at the 83rd Geneva International Motor Show this March. The 2008 was produced to secure the brand's spot in Europe's automotive industry and to win new customers in Asia and Latin America.

"With the 2008, Peugeot is continuing its product offensive and capitalizing on the success of the 3008 by offering a new crossover, urban and innovative, to win over an international clientele," said Xavier Peugeot, Peugeot Product Director

This compact crossover from Peugeot measure 4160mm in length and has a sporty feel infused in its design with pronounced wheel arches, higher driving position, black bumper and body sills, and 17" alloy wheels.

While information about its engine displacement and transmission is still on hold until its big reveal in Geneva, Peugeot stated that it will be fitted with either Peugeot's e-HDi Diesel or a new three-cylinder petrol engine.

The 2008 will be produced in France, China, and Brazil. Philippine distributor EDI has neither confirmed or denied the arrival to our market, but also hinted that it may take some time if ever it gets introduced in our market.
