While Peugeot Philippines has brought in the 3008 crossover in the country late last year, they're not quite done with the car just yet. To start the year off, the company has added a diesel option for their newest crossover, as well as the introduction of the sportier GT Line model.
The main highlight here is the what's seen under the hood. This 3008 GT Line is powered by a 2.0-liter, BlueHDi turbo-diesel engine. It also comes equipped with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system and a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) with an additive called AdBlue that helps reduce carbon emissions. The result of all this is an output of 150 PS and 370 Nm of torque and shifts via a six-speed automatic.
Instead of an all-wheel drive system, the 3008 comes with an advanced traction control system which Peugeot calls Grip Control. There are various drive modes to choose from, namely Mud, Snow, Sand, ESP Off (Electronic Stability Program Off) and Standard. This allows the 3008 to take on some light, off-pavement duties.
With the GT Line tag, the 3008 gets some sportier aesthetics, inside and out. There's more brightwork seen in the exterior, along with a unique set of alloy wheels and a special rear bumper. Inside, there's special trimmings on the dash, along with the addition of contrast stitching on the panels and on the leather-cloth combination seats.
Prices for the 2018 Peugeot 3008 GT Line starts at Php 2,790,000.
