Can't wait to stick Mopar's most powerful crate engine on your restomod or project car? Be prepared to shell out $30,000 (or over Php 1.5 million) to get your own supercharged V8 that cranks out more than 1,000 horsepower.

After debuting it at the 2018 SEMA Show, Fiat-Chrysler and Mopar are now accepting pre-orders for the Hellephant V8. With a suggested retail price of $29,995, the most powerful crate motor to come out of Mopar costs as much as a family SUV. More than that, it can also come with the Hellephant engine kit ($2,265) for those that want to install the motor themselves.

“The reaction when we revealed the 'Hellephant' engine at the SEMA Show was just amazing, and the momentum continued after the show, with close to 1,000 people expressing interest in buying this engine,” said Steve Beahm, Head of Parts & Service at Mopar, and Passenger Car Brands at FCA.

In review, the Hellephant delivers 1,000 HP along with a whopping 1,300 Nm of raw pulling power, allowing for neck-breaking accelerations. This was done thanks to upgraded internals derived from the Hellcat Redeye and Demon. It is then topped off with a lightweight yet powerful supercharger which brings the Hellephant's output figures to four digits.
