Looking for a high-riding seven-seater with style and power? Besides revealing the all-new Camaro, The Covenant Car Company Inc. (TCCCI), the official distributor of Chevrolet in the country, also showed an all-new variant of the seven-seater Trailblazer at this year's Manila International Auto Show.
Say hello to the 2019 Trailblazer Phoenix, a more stylish variant of the pickup-passenger vehicle (PPV) that gets special exterior decals and kit. It's based on the LT version and comes with a best-in-class Duramax powertrain, along with touchscreen infotainment that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Donning a sportier and more purposeful look, the Trailblazer Phoenix comes with a 'Trailblazer' hood decal along with matte black Chevrolet emblems for the front and back. Also finished in matte black are the new fender flares, pillar decals, rear spoiler, and tailgate garnish which further add to the Phoenix's more dashing looks. Finally, the special edition Trailblazer is fitted with a rear scuff plate.
Inside, the PPV is equipped with a leather-wrapped steering wheel complete with audio and media controls. There's also a 7-inch MyLink touchscreen infotainment system that supports AM/FM radio, USB, Bluetooth, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay.
Powering the Trailblazer Phoenix is the 2.8-liter Duramax turbo-diesel engine. It generates a class-leading 200 PS along with 500 Nm of torque. Power is then transferred to a six-speed automatic transmission that drives the rear wheels. The Trailblazer Phoenix is only available as a 2WD model.
Standard safety features on the new Phoenix variant are: anti-lock brakes with electronic brakeforce distribution, engine immobilizer, and a reverse camera.
The new Trailblazer Phoenix is available in the following colors: Black Meet Kettle Metallic, Blue Me Away, Dark Shadowy Metallic, Oxford Metallic Brown, Pull Me Over Red, Switch Blade Silver, and Summit White.
